Not all air fryers cook the same so you may have to try a few times at different temperatures and times to find the right recipe for your air fryer. These are 5 steps to cook the perfect egg rolls in an air fryer in 12 minutes according to my experience.
Step 1: Preheat your air fryer to 400° F ~ 200° C for 3 minutes.
Step 2: Put egg rolls or spring rolls in the air fryer. Arrange them in a single layer, not on top of each other.
Step 3: Air fry for 5 minutes at 400° F ~ 200° C, then check your egg rolls for not overcooking.
Step 4: Turn and continue to air fry for 4 minutes at 370° F ~ 190° C, then check them again. Cook for an additional 1 – 2 minutes if you think it’s necessary.
Step 5: Take them out and enjoy! You can serve with spicy Asian mustard, duck sauce, or sweet Thai chili sauce.
– You should defrost frozen egg rolls before cooking.
– You can set the temperature to about 350 to 380 degrees F, the time may take longer than 3-5 minutes but the egg rolls or spring rolls will be crispy without burning.
– Air fry at too high a temperature can burn the outside, but the inside will not be cooked.
